Silence is Consent

If you don't speak up you accept what is happening. This site was born out of the mainstream media's inability to cover the news. I am just an American cititzen trying to spread the word in the era of FCC consolidation, post 9/11 Patriot Act hysteria, hackable voting machines and war without end. I rant and post news items I perceive to be relevant to our current situation.

All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent.
- Thomas Jefferson

Don't forget
Lucky to be alive, but living in pain
Staff Sgt. John Quincy Adams limped across the floor to a chair in his living room, tried to steady a cellular phone in his left hand and struggled with every word he spoke to his war buddy on the other end.

How does it hold up a year later
Off the Mark on Cost of War, Reception by Iraqis
A year ago tonight, President Bush took the nation to war in Iraq with a grand vision for change in the Middle East and beyond.

Americans would be greeted as liberators, Bush officials predicted, and the toppling of Saddam Hussein would spread peace and democracy throughout the Middle East.

It's Friday. It's Chris Floyd
Night Sweats
This is the story of three innocent men, held in brutal captivity for more than two years; three innocent men, stripped, blinded, beaten, tortured, caged and silenced, all in the name of freedom and civilization; three innocent men, ground into the dust by an implacable power that defends its "enduring moral values" with the boot in the groin, the gun to the head -- and the abetting of atrocity and murder.
