So where are we. Over the weekend we had a multi-administration terrorism expert tell us that the current administration ignored the threat from Al Qaeda. That the previous administration warned the current one that Al Qaeda would be the number one threat to America in the future. He also tells us that after 9/11 Rumsfeld wanted to go after Iraq and not Afghanistan because there were no good targets in Afghanistan. So now we know that the Project for the New American Century and their direction is now the direction of America's foreign policy. Here is their Statement of Principles and their manifesto, "Rebuilding America's Defenses", is linked under must reads (below, right). It's a plan for American empire. It's a plan with results we see manifested in the increased hate for America around the world. Not only in Arab, Middle East and Muslim countries but from countries that used to be our allies as well--France, Spain, Germany, just to name a few. So what does all this mean. Well in my opinion it reinforces what we already knew. This administration wanted to invade Iraq from day one and they needed a reason. As stated in the above referenced manifesto they needed a "Pearl Harbor" type incident to shock the American sheeple into accepting this drive for American empire. Their friends are all in the Oil business and the Military Industrial Complex (MIC) which is reaping most of the financial gain from war without end. It's the Big Lie again. If it worked once it will work again. So that is where we are.

Finally, why do scores of millions of Arab and Islamic peoples hate us and wish to see us humiliated in Iraq? At one time, we were the most admired nation on earth. Is any of this our fault, unpatriotic as that question may seem?
